Three things you hear the Nigerian woman say she can’t do
for money is to kill someone, prostitute (and olosho plenty) or steal, else,
there is nothing they can’t do for money. I watched a video today on Facebook
where some girls were dealt with, stripped and beaten for stealing. They weren’t
armed. So I throw the question opened which is better or who should be
respected more: A prostitute or a thief?
Both are terrible really. But an ashawo can’t be dealt such
punishment because it’s her body. Many ladies today are unofficial ones……abeg
make una no vex oooo but you get the point right . So when a girl decides not
to sell her body but engage in petty stealing, is she any better?
Olopa can’t arrest a girl that gets money after doing 10
rounds but can arrest a kid that steals 10naira. Prostitution dey say is the
world’s oldest profession, something I don’t believe as devil stole Eve’s
heart, and a crime in Nigeria (all our government big belly men are guilty of
aiding it) but doesn’t get the merciless beating like that of a petty thief.
