Ok I go to church too and I no sleep today. The sermon today
had a message on forgiveness but also on the company you keep. Some friends are
agents of success and with them you prosper while some are agents of failure;
no matter how hardworking you are, they will pull you down. Joseph was a
typical agent of success, his position in the house of potipha….(I no sabi
spell) and in Egypt yielding them success despite global recession.
Sincerely, move with people that add to your life and not
people that wants to take from you and bring you to their level. Believe me,
whilst it’s good to help, the familiarity will bring envy and force them to
want u to act in their level, from personal experience.
One issue that we all ignore is the issue of forgiveness.
When Christ thought us to pray, He said we should remind God of those we
forgiven before asking for forgiveness. So if you can’t forgive, don’t ask God
for forgiveness. If you can’t forgive; den be ready for evil to happen. When
Peter ask our baba Jesus how many times em’ fit forgive…..Jesus say 77times,
some versions say 70 x 7 times. Whether it’s 77 or 490, anybody that counted it
to that point doesn’t have work or really forgave.
Oya make I nack you the story for mattew 18:21-27
One servant of Baba Jesus dey owe am 10 000 dollars (about
3,200,000 naira), Baba J say make them sell d man house, wife and children pay
am but the man fall for ground beg and Baba J forgive am and say make em no pay
anything again. So he doesn’t owe again.
As the man comot from Baba J house, he see person wey dey
owe am 100 naira and he hold am for throat make he pay. The man beg am for time
but he use police arrest am. When Baba J hear am, He vex and ordered the wicked
man to be jailed and tormented till he pays his debt.
Warning and Lesson: once you don’t forgive, you are guilty
of all your sins before repentance and will be tormented till the debt is paid.
How can debt be paid? The wages of sin is death.
Please forgive your brother. Have a splendid week
What can someone do to you that you can’t forgive and does forgiveness mean forgetting?
