Long ago in the land of
Bojuri, a small village not far from Ogbomoso, a land of the mischievous and
mysterious, a land of strange happenings. A land where evil is raw, lived the
fearsome trio in the whole of Bojuri history, the three fiercest witches
normally called Aje Meta.
Isokale, Ayanfe and
Mori had been close friends since childhood and it was usual that as time
passed, one initiated the others into the group of the rulers of the night.
Despite been evil, they loved each other as much as they loved themselves.
Isokale who had been a witch all her life had discouraged her friends from
joining the group, telling them that there would be consequences even though
she used her demonic powers to help her friends many times.
Ayanfe and Mori had
enjoyed the privilege of having a powerful friend who could get them out of any
trouble and situation they got into but Ayanfe abused it. She became a physical
witch. More evil than the witches in the village. She caused a whole lot of
trouble and used Isokale’s power to fight her cause. She also put a lot of
pressure on Isokale to give her the powers of the evil witches of the night and
thought Isokale refused because she wanted to be superior but she dared not
fight Isokale nor confide in Mori who didn’t seem interested.
Mori on the other hand, was peaceful and was
never into any trouble but always stood for her friends irrespective of whether
they were right or wrong. She was all about protecting herself and even though
she was tempted to join the powerful evil group of the night, she believed what
Isokale said about the disastrous consequence at the end of the day.
It was normal for evil
to meet evil and of all the men in the village, Ayanfe formed a magnetic bond
with the evil man, Alamu. In the quest to protect her husband who seem to get
himself in perpetual trouble, Ayanfe won over Isokale and joined the evil group
of the night. Like Isokale, she sacrificed her womb and all unborn children for
continuous support in the evil group of the night.
For fear of her
children, Mori finally joined with the mindset to protect them from evil. She
donated her younger sister instead. In other words, Isokale was a witch because
she inherited it from her mother, Ayanfe because of her husband and Mori
because of her children.
Things went smoothly
for them until the day Olori Ijo, the head of the evil group of the night asked
Mori to bring Leke, her first son as the sacrifice.
‘But Olori, I have
sacrificed my sister already. How come I’m been asked to bring my son?’ asked
Mori.
‘Everyone brings a meat
every three years and it’s your turn. Isokale and Ayanfe has given us an
infinite seed of their womb but you brought your wretched ugly sister you were
shy to call your own. Her meat was not even sweet. We want that lovely boy of
yours’. Said Olori Ijo. And that was the beginning of war in the evil group of
the night.
