Reproductive System

Ok. This happened to me as a NYSC corper in Benin. They posted all of us to schools to teach. One of the major challenges of a corper is how to relate with the students. If you are too nice; they will not respect you and if you are too strict; you will make enemies out of them. They might continuously ridicule you, not take a liking to your subject and subsequently fail or may just harm you. Benin is tough.

I was assigned to teach Integrated Science for the whole Junior Secondary School. But wait, why these old mamas still dey secondary school. If you see the big big girls in JSS 2. Some of my fellow corpers don dey eye them. And they will be shaking their yansh. I’m sure its deliberate. I tried my best but they can move somebody.

‘Uncle this, uncle that’. They will be flirting. But I never for once violated them. On this fateful day, I was supposed to teach Jss2, reproductive system. You all know how sensitive that topic is. So I started. I was required to draw the male penis on the board and the female system too. You have to see questions.

‘Uncle, are they all the same size?’, ‘uncle does it pain when somebody wants to make baby?’, ‘uncle, how is the sperm like?’. It was these old mamas that were asking questions. People that have spoil. I tried to answer all the questions as simple as possible but I knew I was already in trouble.

I don’t know where the conversations went to but I heard the whole class laughing. When I asked why they were laughing, someone said that all males had penis including the class boys but uncle’s own is bigger.

True true, I was bulging a bit.
